Dear Members and Stakeholders,

There are no words that can adequately express the profound grief and sadness that I am feeling following the massacres at the Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas and at the Tops Market in Buffalo, New York.

NYSSBA is committed to working with our members, our communities, and leaders in the education, government, business, healthcare and other industries to eradicate this intolerable scourge of violence.  As always, we are stronger together.

I want to share with you a list of resources that Commissioner Rosa sent to parents in her weekly newsletter that can help children and their families cope with the stress, trauma, loss and grief experienced in the aftermath of the Buffalo and Uvalde carnage.

I share these resources with you in memory of the victims from the Robb Elementary School, the Tops Market and from all other acts of violence that we are witnessing far too often.

On this Memorial Day, we honor and remember all who have served our great country and all of those we have lost, especially the innocent victims who were brutally murdered as a result of hate-fueled violence.  We are heartbroken but not broken.

Be safe, be well and stay in touch.

Sincerely,
Robert S. Schneider CPA, CAE
